OBITUARIES
Holly Yvonne Burk

July 9, 1986 – October 1, 2021
BOWIE – Holly Yvonne Burk, 35, Bowie, TX, passed from this earth on Oct. 1, 2021 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Holly’s passing leaves an enormous hole in the hearts of those she leaves behind, but they are comforted in knowing she is sitting in her heavenly mansion embraced in the arms of her Mom and Nanny.

Holly was born on July 9, 1986 to Joseph Wade Burk and Kimberly Kay (Fuller)Burk of Bowie. She spent her life living adventure to its fullest. Whether her adventure took place as she turned the pages of a book and traveled through the corridors of Hogwarts, designed houses on Sims or rode “shotgun” in a car to see the museums and zoos of Nebraska, Holly refused to live a life void of excitement.
While Holly found great pleasure in reading books, playing computer games and visiting various places, she experienced her greatest joy when spending time with her family.
Holly was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Most importantly, however, Holly was the heart of her family and the glue that held everyone together. Holly had a great sense of humor and never let a day pass in which she did not call or visit the ones she loved. To know Holly was to love Holly and to be loved by Holly was an insurmountable feeling.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Kimberly Kay Burk; grandmothers, Kay Fuller and Wanda Burk and grandfather, Charlie Fuller.
Holly is survived by her father, Joe Burk, Bowie; sister, KaSandra Burk and fiance, Kelly Parchman; Bowie; brother, Mark Burk and wife, Brittany Burk, Joy; uncle, Aaron Fuller and husband, Ralph Ortiz, Denton; aunts, Kathy Dauenhauer, Newport, Christy McCarley and husband, Burk McCarley, Bellevue; nephews, Corbyn Burk and Mason Burk; nieces, Gina Jones and Miley Burk and numerous cousins.
