21 indictments issued by the grand jury
The Montague County Grand Jury reviewed a total of 22 cases during its Monday session and returned 21 indictments, one “no bill” and one sealed awaiting the arrest of a suspect.
Those indictments include two people accused of a series of burglaries inside Bowie. District Attorney Paige Williams reported the following indictments.
Evan Alexander, 19, Bowie, three indictments for burglary of a habitation stemming from incidents on April 24, April 28 and May 3. Bonds totaled $37,500.
James Franklin, 20, Bowie, indicted for burglary of a building on April 8. Bond was $7,500.

The following indictments were filed with the 97th District Clerk following the November session of the Montague County Grand Jury.
There were a total of 13 indictments with one sealed awaiting the arrest of a suspect.
A grand jury indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
