Thursday, Feb. 4

4:30 p.m.-5:15 p.m.: Check-in for Lucky Paws Doggie Parade at Mardi Gras Headquarters. $5. Pre-Register at Chamber.

5:30 p.m.: Lucky Paws Doggie Parade

6:30 p.m.: **Fish Fry at the VFW. $10.

8:00 p.m.: **Live music by Tin Rivers and Richard Beverage at the VFW. $10.

Friday, Feb. 5

5:00 p.m.: Check in for ATV Parade at the VFW. $10.

6:00 p.m.: ATV Parade

After Parade: **Crawfish boil and hotdogs at Mardi Gras Headquarters. $25.

8:00 p.m.: **Live music by Andy Davis and Tanner Fenoglio at the VFW. $15.

Saturday, Feb. 6

7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.: **Pancake breakfast at the VFW. $5. Bloody Mary’s available.

10:00 a.m.: Vendors and downtown activities begin.

10:00 a.m.: Band Boosters 5K Run starts at United Methodist Church. Awards at Mardi Gras Headquarters at 11:00 a.m.

Noon: Line up for Kids Parade behind Legend Bank. No charge.

12:30: Kids Parade

1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.: Check in for Mardi Gras Parade at Nocona High School. Must have beads to throw!

3:30 p.m.: Mardi Gras Parade downtown.

5:30 p.m.: **Gumbo and hot dogs at Mardi Gras Headquarters. $10, $ for kids, pre-school and under is free.

7:00 p.m.: **Entertainment at the VFW followed by The Mullet Boys at 10 p.m. $20.

Bowie, Nocona libraries wrap up summer reading this week

Local libraries wrap up their children’s summer reading programs this week.
The Bowie Public Library brings the popular Creature Teacher with all their spectacular animals for the final event on July 23 at the Bowie Community Center.
The program begins at 10 am. The children also will receive their prize books for their summer logs.
The Nocona Public Library ends its program at 10 a.m. on July 24 at the H.J. Justin Building at 100 Clay Street. The program will be “Our Own Action Heroes -” Nocona fire, police and EMTs.
