The Tales ‘N’ Trails Museum goes western on May 20 for its annual general membership meeting welcoming Texas State Historian Bill O’Neal to discuss Texas Gunfighters.

A longtime history professor and renowned non-fiction writer, O’Neal was named Texas State Historian in 2012.

He is now in his second term at that post, a job that has carried him across the state as an ambassador of what he describes as “the richest and most colorful history” among 50 states.

O’Neal will talk about the colorful history of Texas gunslingers at the general membership meeting. The program is free for museum members and open to the public for $5.

Also at the membership meeting there will be updates on work at the museum as well as the election of board members whose terms are ending. Read the full story in the mid-week News.
