Nocona Elementary students will welcome a park designer from Leathers and Associates for “Design Day” on May 25 where they will share ideas for the new playground being built at Enid Justin City Park.
Leather and Associates is a company that creates custom play spaces for children of all abilities and will be working hand-in-hand with citizens of Nocona to build a custom-designed playground.
Sarah Renfro said the designer from the company will get to know Nocona, meet with the playground committee and look over the existing equipment before drawing up a plan for the new playground.
The community will get to see the new design at a reveal party set for 5:30 p.m. on May 25 at the Nocona Elementary cafeteria.
The event will include cotton candy, face painting, jumbo Jenga and a bounce house. T-shirts will be available for purchase, along with bounce house raffle tickets.
Citizens are welcome to suggest name ideas for the playground. For more information, follow them on Facebook or visit www.noconaplayground.com.
