Bowie senior earns chair in All-State Jazz Band

Brandon Taul, a senior saxophonist at Bowie High School, earned second chair in the Texas All-State Jazz Band.

Taul is the son of Ray and Elaine Taul, Bowie.

More than 60,000 students initially entered the All-State competitive process. Some 860 are selected to perform with All-State Concert and Jazz Bands; 220 are selected for All-State Orchestras and 500 for All-State Choirs.

Taul will perform with the Texas All-State Jazz Band on Feb. 14 in San Antonio at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center as part of the 2015 Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention.

  1. Congratulations to Brandon! What an incredible accomplishment. I’m sure it took years to get to this level! Brandon is a great example of what hard work and dedication can do!
