FFA Alumni Fish Fry on April 9
The Bowie FFA Bryant Whitaker Memorial Scholarship Fish Fry will start at 5:30 p.m. on April 9 going until sellout.
Supper will be by donation only to enjoy catfish and all the trimmings cooked up by Keith Walker and Friends in the high school cafeteria. Proceeds support the local Bowie FFA scholarships.
There will be a special prize drawing to win a Chris Owen framed numbered giclee print 6/150 art piece, “Morning Light.” Tickets are $10 with the drawing on April 26. You need not be present to win. Proceeds go to scholarships.
Bowie High School will perform its fall musical “The Lightning,” at 4 p.m. on Oct. 13 in the Bowie Junior High Auditorium.
It is free and family-friendly. Director April Word said this musical is an adaptation of the Percy Jackson series.
A large group of family and students attended the Bowie Elementary School open house Tuesday night. There was an information program, curriculum review and of course tours of the student’s rooms. (Photos by Barbara Green) See more photos in the weekend News.
