BOWIE – Delbert Lee Willey, 88, died March 25, 2015 in Bowie, TX.
The family received friends from 6 -8 p.m. March 27 at The White Family Funeral Home.
Graveside service was at 11 a.m. March 28 at Brushy Cemetery in Bowie.
Willey was born May 7, 1926 in Mineral Wells to Paul and Gladys (Zimmerman) Willey. He graduated High School in Atoka, OK.
Willey served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and the Korean War and retired in 1965 after 20 years of service. He then went to work for Austin Bridge Construction as a crane operator in Dallas and retired from there in 1985. He was a quartermaster for the VFWs in Bowie and Chico.
He is survived by his daughter, Tessie Jones, Bowie; son, Paul Willey, Fort Worth; four grandchildren; a great grandson and a great granddaughter.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
