Saint Jo NIE 2015 Week 4

By Denise Thurman, elementary principal
Saint Jo Elementary has had another great week of school! Our students are working hard and having fun in their classes.
This week has been especially fun since it is Homecoming Week! We enjoyed dressing up each day to support our panthers. It is hard to believe that we are already finishing the fourth4th week of school!
Self-discipline is the Great Expectations life principle this week. We learned self-discipline is the ability to choose and control your own actions. Mrs. Thurman talked about the importance of self-discipline this week.
The third-sixth grade PAWS drawing was Friday morning. PAWS stands for Positive Attitudes will Succeed. Students receive PAWS tickets throughout the week.
Coach Tallon and some of the football players draw names out during the morning meeting each Friday. Tate Sampson, Cheyenne Lee, Brach Dauscher, and Krista Reeves were drawn to wear the Panther jerseys.
Denise Thurman’s STARS of the week were Joshua Vogel, Taylor Patrick, Gage Ice, Andrea Sanchez and Hannah Gregg. We want to thank these students for helping out and setting a great example at Saint Jo Elementary!
