Primary runoff early voting begins Monday, runs one week

Early voting for the May 24 Texas party primary runoffs will begin on May 16 and run for one week.

There will be two locations for early voting said County Elections Administrator Brandi Shipman. They are the Montague County Annex Community Room and the Bowie Community Room. Ballots may be cast between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. during that week.

For Montague County voters, there is only one local race in county commissioner precinct one, Republican primary. Roy Darden, Bowie, and Stephen Kirkland, Sunset, are the two candidates. Darden drew 439 votes and Kirkland, 366.
