The Saint Jo city council isn’t quite ready to pull the trigger on adding a possible city administrator.
During Wednesday’s meeting, the council decided to take no action on creating a city manager’s position.
That also means no ordinance was needed on the matter, and that was skipped on the agenda as well.
On June 1, alderpersons met with Joe Gamble, a former Olney and Nocona city manager who also previously worked for the North Texas Regional Planning Commission.
Because discussions took place in executive session, it’s still unclear whether Gamble was a candidate or if he’s serving in an advisor’s role to the council – which is another possible scenario.
