Cook played for the Conference 1A-4A Red team, along with Alba-Golden’s Shelby Wright, Vivian Gray and Madison Ralston from Argyle, Evie Whorley of Kennedale, Lipan’s Maddie McGee and Jasmine Fields of Brownfield.
“It was fun getting to play with different people, different teammates,” Cook said.
The Conference 1A-4A Blue squad features La Vernia’s Jordan Luensmann – who will be coached this season by ex-Saint Jo sideline boss Kyle Sivadon.
Other Blue team members of note are Halle Cooley from Tuscola Jim Ned, Amanda Dixson from Gonzales and Eranishia Carmenar of Silsbee.
Cook, who shines in several sports, was a Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-region selection and named co-captain on The Bowie News all-county team along with ex-teammate Courtney Brady. Read more in the July 13 Bowie News.
