Bowie City Council meets Tuesday

The Bowie City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on March 7 in regular session.
There is one item of old business as Councilors Scott Davis and Chuck Malone as for the group to reconsider the planning and zoning commission’s recommendation to accept a request from Jeff and Machelle Mills to close a portion of Rock Hill Road. This item was denied in the last meeting, but there appeared to be some confusion on the resulting action.
In new business, the council will examine and discuss building plans for the new industrial technology center at North Central Texas College Bowie. It will include bid documents and the final contract.
Fees will be waived for the city-wide garage sale March 31 and April 1.
Committees will be named to review applicants for parks board appointments and to review city ordinances and codes and possible changes for council consideration.
