HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Small schools ramp up practice

Prairie Valley will practice from 7-9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today and tomorrow. The Lady Bulldogs will have a home scrimmage at 10 a.m. on Friday before traveling to Electra for a triangular scrimmage with Harrold at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Gold-Burg will play host to a scrimmage on Saturday – also featuring Montague County school Saint Jo.

Gold-Burg junior varsity will scrimmage Alvord at 9 a.m. followed by varsity. Saint Jo will have a scrimmage with Perrin-Whitt following, with junior varsity followed by varsity.

“I saw some great things at camp, and I’m very excited to see how it all comes together (this week),” said third-year Gold-Burg coach Cheryl Cromleigh.

Saint Jo is equally optimistic in District 2A-10. The Lady Panthers are having weight training from 8-9 a.m., followed by 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. practice. Read more in the Aug. 2 Bowie News. Read more in the Aug. 2 Bowie News.
