Bowie High school cross country team headed to regional meet

The Bowie High School girl’s cross country team garnered a third place finish at the District 3A-8 meet in Boyd on Thursday to earn their spot at the Conference 3A Region I meet.

Kamryn Cantwell was the front runner for the Lady Rabbits with a third place finish behind Holliday’s Leah Bullinger and Paradise’s Kaycee Martin.
Cantwell finished the 3,200-meter run with a time of 12:37.1, just 3.5 seconds behind Martin.

Macie McCullum wasn’t far behind with a sixth place finish and a time of 13:00.6.

Meanwhile, Ali Frie finished 18th, Valerie Walker 22nd, Landra Parr in 24th and Lauren Gill in 29th and Emmy Thomas in 33rd to help push the team into the third-place spot with 70 points.
