Gold-Burg High School football team celebrated its homecoming on Friday night, just not at home, as the Bears took to the field at Jackrabbit Stadium due to muddy conditions at their own field.
The Northside Indians limited the Bears to 19 points as they pulled away from Gold-Burg, who ultimately suffered a 29-19 loss.
Gold-Burg’s Blake Allen threw for 142 yards and one touchdown, connecting with Steven Bell.
Allen also rushed for 4-39 with a 15-yard touchdown, while Coplin Miller ran for a 14-yard touchdown.
On defense, Gold-Burg’s Luke Skinner totaled three quarterback sacks while Miller had an interception against Northside.
