Montague School begins construction on its new gymnasium

Montague Independent School District students will be playing in a brand-new gymnasium this time next year as construction begins this weekend on a 9, 875-square foot facility.
The new gym will be used for all grades of physical education classes and athletic competitions. It will include a concession, locker rooms and facilities with an estimated completion date of June 28, 2019.
“That is our deadline day. Our goal is to move in during the summer before the start of the school year,” said Montague ISD Superintendent Carla Hennessey.

Other features include new security features, new Texas Accessibility Standards/American Disabilities Act accessibility compliance, new and more secured playground access, new and relocated fencing and security upgrades and upgraded and expanded campus wide utilities.
