Personnel considerations lead off the early morning meeting of the Bowie Independent School District Trustees as they gather at 7 a.m. on April 15.
After recognizing the high school basketball academic all-state students and the power lifting state meet qualifiers, the board will go into closed session.
The agenda lists personnel considerations and the appointment of an interim superintendent.
Steven Monkres, who announced his retirement in August, has amended that date to April 30 as his last day. He said the board may have the interim person start by April 16.
This past week also saw Chief Financial Officer Jonathan Pastusek accept the same post with Northwest ISD.
Monkres said he has not received Pastusek’s written resignation, but he anticipates it will be effective June 30.
