Council meets Monday

Members of the Bowie City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Nov. 23.
City Manager Bert Cunningham will report on the renovation for the city offices, information technology services for the city, new water lines and the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Grant.
New business will include an appointment to the hotel/motel board, a resolution contingent on receiving a 2021 Downtown Revitalization Program grant from the Texas Community Development to help from a project to be determined later and an interlocal governmental cooperation contraction for application and administration for the program.
In old business, a second request for a personnel position at city hall will be presented by the city manager. During the budget process, Cunningham asked for a full-time person in administration to do a variety of front desk tasks. The city staff began moving into the renovated office spaces on Friday.
