No one was injured when their Cessna P210 attempted to land at Bowie Airport Monday morning and due to what is believed to be a landing gear problem, caused it to veer off the runway and come to a stop. There were four people in the plane and they were all able to get out of the plane quickly with no injuries.
The airport runway will be closed for at least 24 hours per the FAA reports airport officials. While the airplane is near the runway it may be able to be moved to allow for the airport to reopen, again it depends on the FAA directive.
