The Bowie baseball team had 10 of its members earn all-district honors.

With Bowie baseball’s season coming to an end last week, that also meant the district awards were released as well as team awards from Coach Tyler Price.
In all, 10 players received either superlative award or were named to the first or second all-district team.
Kawlyer Swearingin earned the district’s pitcher of the year award. Along with this he earned the team’s pitcher award, the Cy Young Award.
First team selections included Colton Richey at first base, Carson Sanders at third base and Jake Fallis in the outfield. Team awards included Richey earning the character award, Sanders earning the teams silver slugger award for having the highest batting average and Fallis earning co-team MVP.
He shared it with Kynan DeMoss who was named second team second basemen, but he also earned the post season MVP award.
Other second team selections included Cade Thompson at pitcher, Logan Hutson at catcher, Troy Kesey at designated hitter, and Devin Melton and Brody Armstrong in the outfield.
