Kids invited to ‘Touch a Boat’ Tuesday

The June 14 Bowie Library Summer Reading program will focus on boats starting at 10 a.m. at the Bowie Community Center.
On Tuesday the program is “Touch a Boat” where children will have an opportunity to look at many different watercraft and the Boy Scouts will teach knot-typing.
Summer reading is open to children ages 0-12 and programs will be at the Bowie Community Center at 10 a.m. each Tuesday in June and July.
Children will be given a reading log to bring with them to each program. If they bring their log they will be entered into a drawing for tickets to Castaway Cove courtesy of The Bowie News.
There also will be two teen programs for those ages 12-18. At 1 p.m. on June 17 there will be an interactive movie day and at 1 p.m. on July 22 bottle lid art day, both at the library.
