Outdoor movie series wraps season

The Bowie Outdoor Movie Night series comes to an end on Aug. 5 with “Despicable Me” at the downtown venue at Tarrant and Mason.
The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the evening under the stars downtown in the parking lot at the corner of Tarrant and Mason Streets, on the giant inflatable screen. The shows are free.
This popular movie launched the series that features Gru the master criminal with a big heart and his yellow minions. Released in 2010 it runs 1:35. It soon became a family classic that has led to four movies.
The concession stand will open one hour prior to show time (dusk/dark).
