Southwestern Regional Rendezvous returns to Nocona March 12-19
The Southwestern Regional Rendezvous returns to the Nocona area March 12-19 offering a historical snapshot of Mountain Man life from the early 1800s.
Everyone is invited to visit the camp and see what life may have been like back during this rough and tumble era. There will be tipis and tents across the camp with participants in native American and colonial dress. They will cook on open fires, carry muzzleloader guns, pistols and bows.
The event will be hosted on the Jim Adams Ranch located at 5423 Farm-to-Market Road 1956 between Nocona and the Bonita Highway.
Opening ceremonies will be at 5 p.m. on March 12 and closing ceremonies at 5 p.m. on March 19. It will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 12, March 13 and March 19. Entry fee is $5 per person and it is free for kids under age 12.
