Bowie golf teams compete at Rider

On Monday and Wednesday, two of the three Bowie golf teams competed at the Rider Raider Invitational tournaments.
The Lady Rabbits finished in sixth place while the boy II team finished seventh.
The Bowie girl’s competed on Monday and were led by Miley Thompson who shot 102. Tess Egenbacher was not far behind her shooting 104. Kendall Fallis shot 114 while Reegan Ferguson and Emily Cueva each shot 117 for a team total of 437. Emma Reed competed individually and shot 112.
The Bowie boy’s II team competed on Wednesday and were led by Trae Seigler who shot 97. Gavyn Brown and Russell Anderson were not far off shooting 98 and 99. Will Cross (110) and Bear Combs (116) rounded out the team as it shot a 404 total.

Prairie Valley Sports Awards

Prairie Valley hosted its high school awards banquet on May 9. The O.C. Mann Award went to Josh Stout and Linzie Priddy.

Gold-Burg Sports Banquet

Gold-Burg High School hosted its awards banquet on May 22. The Gold-Burg Iron Bear Awards went to Eli Freeland-White for boy athlete and Hallie Nelson for girl athlete.

Richey headed to National Finals

Bowie’s Cason Richey (right) and his horse Hello Lashes, qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo this month. Richey competes in team roping as a part of the Texas Tech University rodeo team as a freshman. The CNFR is scheduled for June 15-21 at Casper, WY.
