The Bellevue High School girls’ basketball team had another crack at defeating Forestburg in the regular-season District 1A-21 finale on Tuesday.
However, Forestburg wasn’t having any of it as the Lady Horns outscored the Lady Eagles 36-18 in the second half – running away with a 65-45 victory at home.
The win helped Forestburg secure the second seed in 1A-21, while Bellevue had to settle for the third spot.
Both MaKayla Mason and Alexia Britain produced double-doubles for Forestburg in the victory.
Mason dropped in 20 points to go with 10 rebounds, and she also dished off four assists and swiped a team-best five steals. Britain netted 14 points and grabbed 10 boards. Read more, and see the complete box score in the Feb. 13 Bowie News.
