For Bowie’s Courtney Brady and River Romine, this is their last chance to play for state championship.
And the road to San Antonio begins at 7:30 p.m. on Monday as Bowie plays Whitesboro in a Conference 3A Region II bi-district game at Denton High School.
This marks Bowie’s fifth consecutive year entering the playoffs as district champion.
“We’ve been able to carry on the tradition,” Bowie head girls’ basketball coach Colby Davis-Pastusek said. “We’ve had some great people – players, coaches and administration.”
Although Bowie defeated Whitesboro last year in the postseason, Davis-Pastusek cautioned the Bearcats aren’t the same team this season. Read more in the Feb. 13 Bowie News.
