TRACK AND FIELD: Bowie track set for PK Relays

The Bowie High School boys’ and girls’ track and field teams will compete at the 69th Annual Possum Kingdom Relays on Saturday at Graham.
The Noon Lions Club of Graham is the official event sponsor, and coordinates the meet.
There will be two divisions, one with Conference 3A-5A teams called Division II, and Division I with Conference 1A-2A and junior varsity performers.
The meet will start at 8 a.m. with a scratch meeting, followed by both track and field events at 8:30 a.m.
The field events will occur in the following order: Shot put, high jump, discus, triple jump, pole vault and long jump.
The 3,200-meter run is set for 8:30 a.m., with preliminaries to follow in the 400 relay, the 100 girls’ hurdles and 110 boys’ high hurdles, 100 dash, 400 dash, 300 intermediate hurdles and 200 dash.
Finals will take place one hour after completion of the preliminaries. Read more in the March 16 Bowie News.
