World-famous Hotter ‘N’ Hell bicycle race festivities begin at 3 p.m. on Aug. 25 at the Multi-Purpose Events Center in Wichita Falls.
Packet pickup and late registration will take place at 4 p.m. in the exhibit hall.
USA Cycling race registration begins, as well as Wee-Chi-Tah road events registration.
The Wee-Chi-Tah off-road mountain bike trail race begins at 10 a.m. on Aug. 26 from the Bridwell Agricultural Center.
On the same day, the consumer show begins at 1 p.m.
The spaghetti dinner is set for 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of the coliseum.
The cost is $10. Reserve dinners for friends and family. The meal ins sponsored by the North Texas Restaurant Association, with proceeds going toward scholarship programs.
The ultra criterium for USA Cycling racers will be taking place.
Bikin’ Mike Keel, the author of the book, “Train Smart,” will be the guest speaker at 7 p.m. in the MPEC.
A race official’s meeting is set for 8:45 p.m., and the spaghetti dinner will close at 10 p.m.
The heat hits at 5 p.m. on Aug. 27 with breakfast, presented by Monarch Catering. The cost is $9 and includes pancakes.
USA Cycling road races begin at 6:45 a.m. at the corner of Lincoln and Burkburnett Streets.
The official start of the endurance rides begins at 7 a.m. There are several bike rides covering the following distances: 10-kiolmeters, 25 miles, 50 miles, 100 kilometers and 100 miles. Read more from this regional notebook in the Aug. 20 Bowie News.
