Montague ISD board to meet Aug. 30
Montague Independent School District Superintendent Carla Hennessey said the Aug. 30 school board meeting should be short and sweet, with this year’s budget and tax rate highlighting the agenda.
Action items will include amending the 2015-2016 budget, adopting the 2016-2017 budget for the general fund and food service fund, setting the tax rate for 2016 and canceling the November election due to a lack of contested races.
There also will be a public hearing to discuss the 2016-2017 budget and tax rate and an open forum for those wishing to address the board of trustees.
