Prairie Valley defeats Storm for third victory

The Prairie Valley volleyball team entered district play on a strong note with a four-set victory over the Storm by scores of 23-25, 25-10, 25-14, and 25-16.
The Bulldogs improved to 3-16 on the season.
The team played Collinsville on Friday night in its district opener.
Taylor Carter served up three aces. Alley Roof pounded down a team-best seven kills, and Robin Fenoglio added five kills and three aces.
“This is exactly what we needed going into district play,” Prairie Valley head coach Jeanie Carpenter said. “Hopefully this win will provide us with some much-needed confidence and enthusiasm.”

Bowie’s Cason Richey (right) and his horse Hello Lashes, qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo this month. Richey competes in team roping as a part of the Texas Tech University rodeo team as a freshman. The CNFR is scheduled for June 15-21 at Casper, WY.
