Emergency units respond to 18-wheeler/pickup wreck
Bowie emergency responders are working a pickup truck versus 18-wheeler tractor trailer accident north of Bowie at Jerry Walker Road and U.S. 287, southbound lane. it occurred about 6:30 p.m. Drivers should slow for the accident scene which has traffic blocked to one lane. No details are available at this time. Watch for information as it becomes available.
A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
