The Henrietta High School volleyball team has one of the taller front lines in District 3A-9, and Nocona had difficulty with that on Tuesday.
In the end, the Lady Bearcats proved too much for the Lady Indians in a three-set victory by scores of 26-24, 25-12 and 25-15.
Nocona head coach Tiffany Clay reported the team missed eight serves and five dropped balls. The Lady Indians also committed 15 hitting errors.
With the loss, Nocona’s record evened at 15-15, 4-2 in 3A-9. The Lady Indians are now in a tie for second in the district with Paradise.
Henrietta defeated fellow front-runner Boyd on Sept. 27, so clearly the Bearcats have emerged as the best team in 3A-9 so far. Read more in the weekend Bowie News.
