Bowie City Council begins budget work Tuesday
The Bowie City Council will conduct its first budget workshop beginning at 6 p.m on July 25.
A proposed budget was offered at the July 11 meeting; but, it was expected to change significantly as the proposed water and sewer rate structure was tabled. The city also was waiting on the 2017 certified property values.
Other topics on Tuesday’s agenda will be the monthly department reports and the consent agenda of minutes, bills and the quarterly financial statement.
A pair of tax resale deeds also will be examined for 315 Washington and 205 Decatur Streets.
The following indictments were filed with the 97th District Clerk following the November session of the Montague County Grand Jury.
There were a total of 13 indictments with one sealed awaiting the arrest of a suspect.
A grand jury indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
