The Forestburg High School girls’ basketball team rallied for a non-district 46-35 victory over Bryson on Tuesday.
Lady Horns’ head girls’ basketball coach Rosana Barbosa was pleased to see her team handle this pressure-packed situation.
“They performed well,” Barbosa said. “They stayed together throughout the game.”
The score was actually close from the start with the Horns taking a 12-8 lead into the second quarter. Forestburg remained firm during the frame, taking a 23-21 lead into the locker room at the half.
For the fans in attendance at the packed gym that evening, the second half was the most intense.
The Lady Horns appeared to take their foot off the gas for a short time, and Bryson managed to pull ahead. Read more, and see the complete box score in the weekend Bowie News.
