Saint Jo ISD earns ‘Fast Growth District’
The Texas Education Agency has designated Saint Jo Independent School District as a “Fast Growth District” in recent preliminary reports associated with the new legislation regarding public school funding.
School districts designated a fast growth district by TEA will receive additional state funding in the 2019-20 school year.
In just more than three years, Saint Jo ISD has experienced a 24 percent growth in student enrollment. When comparing one year to the next, the average student growth has been consistently positive each year.
SJISD’s preliminary designation as a fast growth district follows the successful bond election for construction and renovation throughout the district.
The district recently broke ground on major construction projects that will include six new classrooms as well as extensive renovations of existing classrooms and facilities throughout the district.
