Former DA Cole arrested on DWI complaint

A former Montague County district attorney and a present assistant DA in Wise County was arrested Sunday in Archer County on a complaint of driving while intoxicated.
Tim Cole, 61, who resides in Fort Worth was arrested by an Archer County sheriff’s deputy shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday. The deputy was responding to a call for a possible intoxicated driver northbound on Texas State Highway 25 and Gose City Road.
The DWI complaint was connected with a blood alcohol content allegedly greater than .15 according to the probable cause affidavit.
Cole was released from the Archer County Jail on $3,000 on the Class A misdemeanor, which is punishable if convicted by up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

City staff examines new generators for water plant

City of Bowie officials were on hand to inspect the emergency electrical generators that were delivered last week.
Mayor Gaylynn Burris and City Manager Bert Cunningham inspected one of three emergency electrical generators purchased as part of an ongoing Federal Emergency Management Agency Hazard Mitigation Grant. They also talked with Jay Evans, head of the city electric department, and Jerry Sutton, director of the water treatment plant about the next step for installation of the generators.
This grant provides funding for one 150 kW and two 250 kW generators for use at the water treatment plant.
