HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Bowie girls stay scorching hot

The Bowie Lady Rabbits continued their ascent up the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Conference 3A rankings Friday by peppering Henrietta 76-20.
The Lady Rabbits moved up to 13th in Conference this week after yet another District 3A-9 thrashing.
Bowie improved to 22-5 overall and 9-0 in 3A-9.
“They did a good job defensively, holding the other team to single digits each quarter,” said girls coach Colby Davis-Pastusek. “They also improved on their shooting and scoring inside the paint.”
Once again, the Lady Rabbits played a great overall game, scoring at will while the defense didn’t give Henrietta much at all.
The most they allowed was an eight-point effort in the third quarter. Meanwhile, Bowie consistently put up points, including a pair of 22-point quarters.

Supertunia Mini Vista Pink Cloud petunia is having its debut year or thanks to Susan Middleton Turner in south Georgia’s zone 9 Miller County it’s breakout year.
Susan’s house looks quite like a movie set, and you would have to think that Supertunia Mini Vista petunias play a prominent role.
Last year it was the award-winning Supertunia Mini Vista Indigo that dazzled with incredible color. The petunias were planted in banister baskets across the front of the house. I featured her photos in an article I wrote about Mini Vista petunias.
