The Nocona softball team played better in its second District 3A-9 game on Friday, but the Lady Indians still suffered a 4-3 setback at Holliday.
Nocona stood at 3-8 overall, 0-2 in district, heading into Tuesday’s 3A-9 game versus Henrietta.
Holliday went ahead for good in the fifth inning.
Nocona’s Karlie Pepper singled to center in the sixth, but she was left stranded. Kady Hackley was left at second and Claire Walker at first in the seventh, so the Indians had their chances. Read more, and see complete box scores, in the mid-week Bowie News.
