Have a professional check out your heating system
If your natural gas or propane heating system has stopped venting carbon monoxide and burned gases to the outside where they can safely dissipate, would you know? It’s important that you have your system checked by a licensed air conditioning and heating contractor evaluate your system each fall.
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, tasteless and odorless gas that can be deadly in high concentrations. If your home isn’t equipped with combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, be sure install them before the first norther comes swooping down.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
