Early primary voting winding down as election day nears
The opening week of early voting went smooth as the days leading up to the March 3 party primaries gets closer.
Ginger Wall, elections administrator, said early voting has gone very smooth and she anticipates a similar time on election day. As of Tuesday morning there had been 1,216 people cast early ballots.
Wall reminds voters to bring a photo ID to the polls, as the mass mail-out of voter registration cards is still delayed due to the redistricting lawsuit.
The March 3 party primaries will provide ballots for the Republican and Democratic Party primaries. Winners of these races will then be on the general election November ballot.
