Published

on

Let the music be uplifting: Joseph M. Martin’s radiant cantata “A Journey to Hope,”inspired by the soul-stirring tradition of spirituals, arrives live April 14, weaving lush choral harmonies and soaring solos into a powerful story of resilience and renewal.
The North Central Texas Chorale concert will be at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 401 S. Denton Street in Gainesville. Tickets are available from chorale members and at the door. Adult tickets will be $7, tickets for students and seniors will be $5.
Hear familiar spiritual motifs transformed into fresh, cinematic textures that move from quiet reflection to triumphant affirmation, inviting listeners of every background to feel, remember and celebrate together. It’s a communal experience of hope that will stay around long after the final chord.
The Chorale will be accompanied by Shirley Hatfield on keyboard. Soloist for the concert will be Courtney Kelley, soprano. The Chorale is under the direction of Clint Kelley. Visit the website, northcentraltexaschorale.com for more information
