Jackrabbits fall short

Jacksboro continued its undefeated season at the expense of the Jackrabbits on Friday night, topping visiting Bowie 38-21 for their Homecoming game.
Meanwhile, Bowie wraps up the pre-district season at 1-4 with two weeks off to prepare for their first district game against Boyd on Oct. 13.
“We are still making some mistakes that are preventing us from playing complete games,” said Bowie Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Dylan Stark. “We have told the team that is what those five preseason games are for, but they’re over and we have two weeks to get ready for district. We have to play better football if we want to reach our goals.”
