Golfer Shawn Holcomb, a native of Borger, Texas, will appear at the Twisted Oaks two-person best-ball “Turkey Shoot” golf tournament slated for this Saturday with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. Holcomb, who now lives in Lubbock, finished 41st in the world long-driving competition. His longest drive measured 427 yards. Holcomb will be partnered with former British and U.S. Senior Open participant Vance Moxom. Before the tournament takes place on Saturday, there will be a players’ meeting at 5 p.m. on Friday at The Rack in downtown Bowie. (Courtesy photo)
