Bowie to pursue utility system upgrade
Sandy Page was selected by the Bowie City Council Tuesday night to move up to the city secretary. Page, who has served as deputy city secretary since 2005, was the sole applicant to be interviewed by the council in executive session Tuesday.
The city council also decided to enter into a contract with a company that will do an extensive audit of the city’s utility services in order to determine if there is a viable upgrade program Bowie can undertake. The Bowie Independent School District has issued the following open letter to community regarding negotiations with four other districts who pick up students inside this district and take them to their schools.
