Fantasy of Lights sparkles opening the Christmas season in Bowie
A beautiful winter night welcomed the 23rd annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade in downtown Bowie last Saturday night.
Coordinated by Main Street Bowie, Shannon Skiles, MSB manager, said there were 35 parade entries. Southern Charm Salon and Spa won the sweepstakes prize for its “Frozen” float, complete with snow globe and princesses. Read more on this story and see lots more photos in the mid-week Bowie News. A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
