While you’re shopping, thieves may be shopping your car
The holiday season is upon us! And just as we prepare for visiting the malls and shopping centers, thieves also are also preparing to shop, in your vehicle!
The Texas Auto Burglary and Theft Prevention Authority (ABTPA), a division of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, reminds drivers that a vehicle is burglarized every two minutes and stolen every eight minutes in the state.
These crimes can escalate during the holiday season when drivers frequently shop for gifts and travel to visit friends and family. Learn about some easy safety tips to protect yourself from thieves by reading the full story in the mid-week News.
A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
