Bowie Junior High and Nocona Middle School will both be competing at the District 3A-9 junior high meet on April 2 at Boyd Independent School District stadium.
The Bowie Junior Varsity White baseball team will compete against Windthorst here in Bowie on Thursday.
Bowie versus Nocona softball and baseball will start at the regular time on Friday in Nocona. Softball will begin at 5 p.m. with baseball to follow at 7:30 p.m.
The Bowie and Nocona boys’ and girls’ golf teams will be in action Thursday as well, the second round of the District 3A-9 tournament at River Creek Golf Club in Burkburnett.

News will have all-star teams 

The Bowie News is proud to announce the newspaper will be releasing its own all-star boys’ and girls’ basketball teams during the month of April.
Coaches from our coverage area – Bowie, Nocona, Saint Jo, Forestburg, Gold-Burg, Bellevue and Prairie Valley – are asked to provide season-ending statistics similar to what they used for all-district nominations.
The Bowie News boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will feature at least one member from each school in our coverage area.
Players that attained all-region and all-state automatically qualify for the all-star squads.
Both the boys’ and girls’ all-star teams will feature 16 players, one above the normal limit for a high school squad.
