FOOTBALL: Bowie competes in 7-on-7 SQT on Saturday

Bowie High School’s football team is set to compete in a 7-on-7 state qualifying tournament on Saturday, May 30, in Wichita Falls.
Games will be played on the Midwestern State University campus.
Bowie will play in Pool B with Argyle, First Baptist Academy of Dallas and Scurry-Rosser.
Here are the other schools in action, by pool.
Pool A: Abilene Wylie, Godley, Boyd and Childress.
Pool C: Springtown, Clyde, Brock and Bells.
Pool D: Snyder, Burkburnett, Pottsboro and Haskell.
Bowie will play Scurry-Rosser at 9 a.m., followed by First Baptist Academy at 11 and then Argyle at 1 p.m.
The winners of the each pool will advance to the championship pool semifinals and finals.
Pool winners will be determined by head-to-head results and points scored and allowed.
Semifinals will take place at 3:30 p.m., and then the championship at 4:30 p.m.
This marks the beginning of summer football activities for the Jackrabbits, who are coming off a 2-8 season, including a district win over Paradise.
