“I felt like we were nervous at the beginning of the match,” Bowie head coach Jeanie Stark said. “We were hitting balls out; we were not getting to serves. We were forcing things and we’re relying on our system and mechanics.”
Stark said the team made adjustments heading into the second set.
“I was pleased at their effort to work through it and their energy and intensity was contagious,” added Stark.
Against the tall, strong hitting Lindsay, Bowie libero Karsen Morgan had her hands full, and she passed the test. Morgan finished with a team-best 23 digs.
Carcyn Robertson and Henslee Ogle supplied nine digs and five digs, respectively, as part of the Lady Rabbit defense.
